Guyana Issues new $1000 Banknote with RAPID® Micro-Optics

The Central Bank of Guyana (BoG) has issued an upgraded $1000 banknote with new advanced security features from Crane Currency.

The upgraded banknote has kept most of the elements of the previous note, but the holographic stripe at the front of the note is replaced with Crane Currency’s 6mm RAPID® micro-optic security thread.

With only a slight tilt of the banknote, the bands in the RAPID feature move up and down behind the static numerals “1000” as the flower petals shimmer in blue and white.

The last update of Guyana’s $1000 note was conducted in 2011.
