Crane Currency Malta Achieves Guardian™ Printer Accreditation
PolyTeQ Services has, on behalf of CCL Secure Pty Ltd, certified Crane Currency Malta as an Accredited Guardian™ Printer. The print facility has undertaken a plant review and gap analysis, which concluded that the facility has, in terms of equipment, processes and skills, all the requirements necessary for the production of standard quality Guardian™ banknotes.
In addition, Crane Currency has successfully completed a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) using Guardian™ polymer substrate. This included successfully passing an evaluation for finished banknote testing. As an Accredited Guardian™ Printer, Crane Currency has undertaken to:
- Consult with PolyTeQ in planning and production for the first production run on Guardian™.
- Comply with all the technical requirements stipulated by CCL Secure Pty Ltd in order to receive and maintain accreditation, and
- Ensure that the banknotes it produces using Guardian™ polymer substrate consistently conform to CCL Secure Pty Ltd recommended Guardian™ polymer banknote specification as a minimum standard for the polymer banknotes it produces and supplies.
The Guardian™ Printer Accreditation has been established by CCL Secure to ensure the quality and consistency of the Guardian™ polymer banknotes produced by accredited printers.
